Jane Rose

I've been a Mosacs Artist & tutor for 5 years, working with all ages from 5 to 85 and all abilities. I've run Adult & Children's workshops at Tullie House in Carlisle, Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries & a varirty of Childrens groups, Youth clubs,Day & Residentials centres for the elderly & those with special needs.

I have lived in Annan with my husband & teenage son for the last 10 years after moving up from East London to escape the traffic & grime!

My workshops will be aimed primarily for beginners, but all are welcome. I'll bring in a selection of bases, including MDF & Ply wood of varying sizes for use as mirrors, pot stands, house names & numbers or decorative plaques for indoors & outside. We will use an assortment of glass tesserae, beads, crockery, mirror & other shiny stuff.

All equipment will be provided, wear old clothes as the grouting process can be a bit messy.

Jane Shaw

Jane Shaw has been making craft jewellery for many years, having caught the craft bug from her mother who taught her sewing. She learned the craft of silver-smithing at the former Art College in Carlisle. She found she had an aptitude for working with wire, and has gone on to develop this as her area of expertise. She is a keen knitter and sewer, and loves to use these mediums in her work. She is an experienced tutor, having taught jewellery workshops at The Cecil Street Project in Carlisle, Lindeth Special needs College at Bowness-on-Windermere, and The Art and Craft Shop in Cockermouth.
